Hey samjjana really nice story about your hang acquisition, the hang haus place look's really relaxing... just a question when you talked about the hang documentary... is that documentary available to buy on internet? or just coming in dvd when you buy a hang?

Thanks!

Massimiliano

Hi again,

The DVD came with the hang - sorry, I do not know if it is available in any other way.
It would be good if it was generally available, and I can't see why it wouldn't be.

Others may know and could post an answer here...?

Hiya,

The Hang DVD is only available to those who purchase a Hang, although you may well be able to contact PANart and ask them if you can purchase a copy?

Anyone visiting this years HangOut in the UK will get the opportuinity to see the video which is being played on Sunday afternoon, it makes good viewing and gives a much better understanding of the process involved in making a Hang as well as the first hand story from Felix and Sabina.

Cheers

Kelly

P.s excellent write up samjjana, you capture the wonder of the visit perfectly.

I think you get a copy if you send your Hang for tuning, as well. I had my Hang re-tuned and they included a copy of the DVD.

Mmmmmm.

I have to know, when you play in that room, do the rest of the Hanghang murmer and ring in sympathy?

I can imagine if it were very quiet the room would be alive with the angelic conversation of Hanghang in chorus...

:O

I also didn't notice anything while at the hanghaus, but I have had the hang in a room full of amazing alchemy crystal singing bowls and you could hear the hang 'ring' - also a similar thing happened near a didgeridoo.

:)

Sometimes when I'm playing with my 15-month-old daughter in the living room, where my Hang usually lives on a beanbag, one of us will make a quick loud sound or laugh and the Hang rings in sympathy. I'm always delighted to hear it!

:D
