A friend just sent me this link to a March 2009 "Physics Today" article:

This is an interesting article that helps to understand some important aspects of the acoustic of the Hang. I think it wasn't posted here in the forum before. But it was already included in sites like Wikipedia, the Hang Internet Index or http://www.hanghang.info after it was was published in Physics Today.
