Hi all,

As we end 2009 our thoughts are already pondering acts for HangOut 2010.

After some of the amazing talent that entertained us at HangOut 2009 we're on the lookout for up and coming acts as well as establish Hang players to join us at the weekend event to WOW the crowds once more with some beautiful Hang melodies.

If you would like to perform and get a free ticket into the event then please get in touch with us, we would love to hear from you:

hangoutuk@hotmail.co.uk

or visit the website for details of the weekend - pictures of the 2009 event will be uploaded shortly :)

Hi all,

Just an update here, tickets for the 2010 HangOut music festival here in the UK are on sale now. They've been on sale for a week and we've already parted with almost 30 spaces for this years event!

100 tickets available this year so please do not "Hang" around :)

Performances this year from Davide Swarup, Spyros, Benjamin Sorensen, Simon Wood, Rebecca Hope, Ann Malone and Curt Cuenen... more to be announced.

We're going slightly bigger this year, we've hired the large Barn at Mellow farm giving us even more space to HangOut. The large barn will be the Hang zone/cafe a chilled place for people to sit, grab a coffee and listen to Hang, a quiet zone, the chill out zone for Hang only.

The Chicken shed is still the main jammng shed and this is where the main performances will be taking place on Saturday night.

More updates to follow.....

Hope to see you in September

Kelly

Hi all,

Last update for a while, just to say that all acts are now booked for HangOut 2010 so see website and wonder at the spectacular feast of music that awaits you, its gonna be a good year for performances: www.hangoutuk.co.uk

Ticket update: we've got just over 40 tickets left now, I cannot believe how quickly tickets have gone this year so if you still wanna come to HangOut and you're waiting for the warmer weather before you decide it'll probably be too late :)

Not sure what to expect, never been before but kind of want to come but you're nervous because you won't know anyone... do not fear the HangOut family is growing every year and we think its the most fun and friendly spot on the planet in September LOL :)

Anyway... really looking forward to this years event, see ya there!

Kelly

HangOut UK is now officially :

SOLD OUT

That's it folks no more tickets available, anyone wanting to come can email us and be put on the reserve list hangoutuk@hotmail.co.uk

As tickets are non refundable we will add your name to the list and as tickets become available through folk not being able to make it, we will put you in touch with them.

Please do not ask if we can squeeze another one in, the venue restricts numbers at this time and as such we really cannot squeeze another one in, sorry.

Hi all,

Now that tickets are all sold out, anyone still wanting a ticket please do get in touch there is a reserve list should tickets become available.

So where to start.... We have a whole host of performers booked for this year, all eagerly waiting for the weekend where they can entertain us all with a plethora of musical sounds and wonderment, can't wait :)

We have Cafe Chameleon along to serve up delicious fairtrade and reasonably priced food all weekend, they were a struggle to find, being such a small event its hard to get catering companies involved as their running costs usually outweigh the return but we got the Chameleons so please do support them where possible over the weekend, all your support will hopefully secure them again for next year.

We have a multitude of workshops and services again this year:

1) Ann Malone and Guest will be creating a sound temple during the day, a place for you to sit back, relax and enjoy some really chilled out vibes man.

2) Tim O' the Oak a Hang playing storyteller will be around all weekend telling tall stories, so whether you're down by the fire, hanging out in one of the barns or just chilling outside in the camping field i'm sure Tim will be somewhere nearby telling a story of travels and life in his own unique way.

3) Peter Barnes is offering some holistic massage, a chance to kick back and literally have the stresses of life worked out of you in a session that will be tailored to your own needs. Peter usually charges around £50 for a 1 1/2 hour session but as this is HangOut he's open to a bit of HangOut Haggling.

4) Stefan Cartwright co-developer of the Shruti box, a drone instrument with origins in India will be showing us how the Shruti can enhance the overall Hang playing experience and hwo the voice can also work well with the instrument.

5) Active Arts presents InsideOut Community space - Booked int he last week Active Arts is a Southampton based organisation that facilitates events and workshops through which people of all ages and abilities can explore diverse activities in a stimulating and open environment, inspiring expressive and creative confidence.

Over the weekend these guys will be offering a lovely choice of workshops from Yoga, Chi Gung, Drum Circles, Sound Baths, Voice & Chant & Intuitive Music & Dance, a wonderful selection I’m sure you'll agree and all aimed at getting us all involved and active over the weekend, adding to the whole weekend experience.

*Some of the workshops over the weekend will be reliant on donations to cover their costs so please support them where possible.

For overseas or train travelling folk, there will be the usual pick up from Farnham station at 4pm on Friday 17th September so please do let me know as soon as you can, earlier the better, if you need collecting from the station so I can arrange transport (email me: hangoutuk@hotmail.co.uk).

For those wanting to make their own way from the station then there is a taxi service based at Farnham station itself that charge approx £14 one way to Dockenfield (Mellow Farm) and taxis can be prebooked via their website http://www.farnhamstationtaxis.co.uk

There is also a bus service that picks up from the station with a bus every hour from Farnham station to Dockenfield - details will be available at the Station itself on times.

Any questions you have please do get in touch, I’m here to answer them and help where I can hangoutuk@hotmail.co.uk or just respond on here.

Lastly as you should all know by now HangOut UK is a non profit event aimed at bringing together music and creativity in a beautiful environment, everyone that gets involved with the weekend does so at their own cost and time and we'd like to thank everyone for all the continued support and encouraging words that we've received over the last 4 years of HangOut, we all make HangOut what it is..... :)

Free the music
