Hi Talic,

I have not much time, because I am cooking a venison-ragout at the moment.

You could find an answer on this article. But remember that this is history.

http://www.hangblog.org/2006/11/27/how-to-buy-a-hang/

I hope this help.

This is ONLY for people interested in the history. It doesn't help to understand how to buy a Hang today.
You will find all information if you follow the link in Frank's first post.
But you must read it. Without reading it cannot work.

Yes. But Talic's problem wasn't that he needed more historical information. His problem was, that he didn't find the information you already recommended to him. Therefor I thought I should guide him back to the initial link recommended by you. Reading the other old text would confuse him only more. ;)

For others who have the same question, the answer is:
I read hisotry, and know what is the situation....
is too hard to own this instrument... and is too expensive -if you go to a place €1300, if u buy of someone in ebay - £5000..
and is handmade crafted ... and 1000 people want this Hanghang... and wait for few years...

Hi Talic,
the price you tell us, is not correct. You read outdated information.

Obviously it is necessary to say it twice:

Forget http://www.hangblog.org/2006/11/27/how-to-buy-a-hang/ ! This is a text only for historians, not for people looking for information about buying a Hang.

To find up to date information read the most recent newsletter by PANArt: http://www.hangblog.org/2012/09/10/news ... of-a-hang/

But to read only this is not enough. You must also read the the article "Information about purchasing a Hang" that is linked and recommended in this post to get all the information you need to understand the purchase of a Hang.
